This fast patrol boat has been the flagship of the Royal Gibraltar Police Marine Section providing law enforcement in the challenging territorial waters of Gibraltar. The operational requirements have changed since this vessel was commissioned with drug smugglers using RHIBs capable of up to 60 knot speeds. The RGP acquired two interceptor fast boats that match or exceed smugglers’ speed. This has made the larger vessel less valuable for the RGP.
The vessel is a highly functional and superbly equipped boat designed for coastal patrol work. She would be of interest to other law enforcement agencies, government or private anti-piracy patrols or as a fisheries protection vessel.
