Lowland Yachts were a family run yard in Zoeterwoude, Holland. By the 1970’s they had built an enviable reputation for building quality steel motor cruisers of up to 15m in length. In the mid 80’s they began building larger motor yachts of over 20 meters in length and the early 90’s saw further development with the delivery of motor yachts over 30m. The company used the brand name Neth-Ships for the larger motor yachts but interestingly this 15m yacht carries that brand name too. Such illustrious names as Frank Mulder, Beeldsnijder and de Vries Lentsch are associated with the designs from Neth Yachts and although we do not know who penned this particular vessel the quality of construction is evident both inside and out. The last vessel to leave the yard was the 32m motor yacht Evnike in 1996, the yard closing to business later that same year. Note air draught of this boat is 2.9m screens & radar arch folded. All up is 4.26m. The radar arch folds easily using a manual winch. Last survey may 2023

From the thick teak laid deck to the quality of the interior joinery, comfort and quality are the bywords here. Outside is spacious including the wide side decks that make moving around a dream. A spacious uncluttered foredeck makes the deckhands work easy too. The aft deck is covered by a bimini and the helm position by a full canvas enclosure and will easily accommodate 6 or 8 people for convivial apéritifs or Al Fresco dining. Down the companionway is the saloon which takes advantage of the 4.55m beam and 1.93m headroom to become a bright spacious living area. The fact that there is no interior helm taking up living space adds to the bright airy feel. Forward is the galley (to starboard) and dinette (to port). The joinery is rich warm wood and beautifully executed. The dinette will convert to a double berth of 2m x 1.1m if needed. The galley is all electric, this is a gas free boat and the oven converts to a microwave at the press of a button. The forward cabin has a hanging locker which has reduced space for clothes as a washer/dryer has been installed but there is plenty more storage under the beds. To starboard is an ensuite heads and shower. Beds here are 2m x 1m and 2m x 0.9m. Headroom 1.92m. Going aft from the saloon is the owners suite which boats a 2m long by 1.9m (at the widest) walk around bed, a Chesterfield type easy chair, built-in dressing table. A really lovely room with 1.9m headroom! There is a recurring theme of floor level lighting throughout this boat and it is repeated here in the aft cabin. Added to the overhead lighting fitted into the padded head linings it is just another example of the quality construction and attention to detail. To starboard an ensuite heads with wash basin and to port a separate shower room. Plenty of ventilation and all portholes have fly screens. Domestic hot water is supplied from an immersion heater which is also heated by the engine when cruising. Heating is blown warm air from an eight Kw diesel fired Eberspacher.
