Accommodation is accessed through weather tight, hardwood doors at port and starboard and you enter a wheelhouse of steel plate construction, Glazed windows with brass frames surround the area, which has a stylish, built-in dining table, which drops to provide a double size bed.

Stairs lead to the main accomodation below, where watertight doors conceal the aft engine room.

Louvred cupboard doors hide a washing machine and tumble dryer and wooden doors lead to a newly fitted bathroom.

The main area is on two levels, with a fully fitted galley to port and breakfast bar to starboard. Black granite worktops with granite sunken sink, cream eye and base level units in a 'U shape and a Dickinson Atlantic diesel cooking range.

Steps down into the main saloon reveal the enormity of this boat, with its charming features such as cast iron radiators and chandeliers and the flooring is believed to be reclaimed mahagony from a church. A solid fuel convector stove on a plinth forms a stunning focal point, giving the room a wonderfully luxurious feel. There is lots of natural light through eight roof lights and numerous man size side scuttles in the original coamings. Lower level circular picture windows with small hinged portholes provide an amazing waterside view.

Double doors lead to 2 cabins. There is a double guest room to starboard, with raised bed and stunning porthole views and to port there is a single cabin which is at present used as a childs room. Ahead lies the raised master cabin, with bespoke built in wardrobes to both port and starboard where there are coamings, reclaimed wood flooring, brass porthole scuttles and roof lights.

A steel, watertight, hinged bulkhead door leads to the forecastle space which has been converted to provide two bunks, built in wardrobes, a basin and WC. From here there are steps to the foredeck.

The deck provides a quirky and very attractive roof garden, which has been made safe for children or pets, thus providing a secure and serene outside space. This would be ideal for entertaining on those balmy summer evenings.

The boat is equally happy under her own power and you need not be limited to the mooring. She is well maintained and will cruise comfortably on the Thames and beyond.

If working space is your desire, the cabins could easily be converted to offices, the wheelhouse to a breakout area the saloon to a small conferencing facility. Hiring a professional skipper and crew for the day could even provide in-house team building days!

Broker's Comments

Don’t miss the opportunity to aquire this splendid Humber Barge!

This is a boat which can truly be whatever you want it to be – a comfortable family home, fabulous London pied a terre or even a spectacular waterside city office!

At present being used as a warm and welcoming home, the barge has had a recent internal layout change, meaning that she now has 4 separate cabins, a huge saloon, well appointed fitted galley with breakfast bar, refitted bathroom and a panoramic wheelhouse with seating around a table which will serve as extra accommodation by converting to a double bed.

As a pied a terre she would be ideal for work in the City, entertaining or (try keeping family and friends away!) a peaceful weekend retreat.

If you are looking for a centrally located office with a difference, the barge could easily transform into workspace for your business. With up to 4 separate offices, room for small meetings in the wheelhouse and the potential for conferencing facilities for up to 15 people in the main saloon, with a little vision the sky really is the limit.

The mooring is in a much sought after area, close to the Docklands and Central London and is well served by tube and overground services. It is quiet and secure, with a great feeling of community. The mooring is transferable to the new owner by agreement with Marina Management.
