This yacht is equipped with both a generator and a high-capacity inverter for flexibility and redundancy. The generator is a 4KW Westerbeke surrounded by a Sound Guard enclosure. The inverter is a Magnum 2812 inverter/charger
(2800W) -- nice for noiseless power in a quiet anchorage. Racor 75/500 FGX Fuel Filter & Water Separator.
The engines are sized to power this boat at its hull speed while running with a load as recommended for diesel engines of this type.
24 Volt Sidepower Bow Thruster and newly-added Sidepower Stern Thruster. Both have dedicated batteries (two each) and chargers.
House bank consists of 5 8D batteries. Another 8D serves as the engine start battery. The generator has a dedicated start battery. All batteries new in 2012 or more recent.
Dripless shaft seals. An impressive fuel filtration and supply manifold system.

Great Harbours are robustly built with solid fiberglass bottoms up to 1.25" thick from the rub rail down. The GH37 is designed with a wide-beam and very stable hull form. Its shallow-draft hull will allow you to explore shallow anchorages where others can't go. The sellers report that the boat is very stable in beam seas, and that that following seas have less effect than on most other trawlers.
The sellers have had extensive exterior work performed within the past few years. The hull and cabin sides have been painted from the water line up, after fairing the hull thoroughly (a fair hull is not a feature of original Great Harbours). The work is stunning -- the smoothness and gloss on the hull is quite exceptional. Additional work to improve on the exterior features around the deck has been completed. The sellers were planning to have this boat for many years -- and they spent accordingly. But their plans have changed...

Broker's Comments
There's no mistaking a Great Harbour Yacht! She's a distinctive small ship designed for economical operation and a maximum of interior space. She's heavily built and stable -- and is absolutely not a "me too" trawler.
This Great Harbour GH37 is thoughtfully designed for long range cruising or living aboard. The spacious interior features full-size home appliances, teak and holly flooring, and plenty of elbow room. The tremendous amount of interior volume makes this boat feel like a 45-50 ft trawler. Yet moorage expenses will be much lower. Without a doubt this is the most boat that can be fit into a 40' slip. The hull and topsides have been recently faired and professionally painted -- the finish is beautiful and attention-getting.
Anyone who has attempted to work in an inadequate engineroom will appreciate the easily accessible engineroom on this boat -- and there's plenty of space for storage and to work around the engines too.
With widely-spaced twin engines and powerful bow and stern thrusters this boat can be easily handled, even in tight moorages or cross-wind situations.
With safety, affordability, and go-anywhere equipment, plus all the comforts of home, this trawler has a unique combination of features and capabilities. It is exceptionally clean inside and out - and won't disappoint upon viewing.
