Broker's Comments

The Arpege was considered to be innovative, if not radical, back when they were built. The design was a great success and over 1500 were manufactured, a great Dufour success. They have survived the test of time well and are still much sought after, especially for those looking for practicality and sailing performance. Considered to be a small, fast and capable offshore cruiser, they are said to be particularly at home in challenging conditions.

This example is the later model fitted with the more popular swept back bulb keel, she has a roomy, deep cockpit and the side decks are wide.

Down below the vessel is set up well for a racing crew. At the bottom of the companionway there’s a large nav table with plenty of storage to sbd, a compact galley to port and two quarter berths. Moving forward through the full bulkhead, the saloon has two settee berths with two pilot berths above and the facility to convert the port side berths into a double. Moving forwards through double doors, there is a heads compartment with a hanging locker and a large sail storage area.
This vessel could probably do with a little updating but with clean, classic lines, good sea keeping qualities along with a lively performance, this yacht is priced to sell.
