Meridian Trawler Yachts (not to be confused with the more-recent Meridian line of production yachts) were "overbuilt" with thick fiberglass on the hull and deck to create a very stout yacht. With its bulletproof hull and flared bow with Portuguese bridge, it has excellent sea-keeping abilities. This fuel-efficient trawler has massive amounts of interior space and a large, enclosed cockpit. The pilothouse is well designed with a custom-built L-shaped settee and excellent visibility from the helm. There is back-to-back seating on the flybridge with a centerline captain's chair. This layout is ideal for Northwest cruising in variable weather.

This yacht can be entered through either the cockpit or the pilothouse doors (on either side) which makes boarding easy from any dock height. Entering the pilothouse, there is the lower helm, an L-shaped settee and custom-built liquor storage with storage cabinets. The pilothouse settee is a great spot for sitting while underway or dining with a view. Down the stairs from the pilothouse, the master stateroom has a queen-sized bed with drawer storage, a large cedar-lined hanging locker, a desk/vanity area and a private head with separate shower stall. The forward stateroom has a v-berth, vanity area, hanging locker, drawer storage, and its own private head with separate shower stall. The 48' Meridian was designed with interior comfort in mind - the full beam saloon maximizes living space and comfort. This trawler feels like your living room at home with a couch, 32" Flatscreen TV with DVD player, Dickenson stove, and full-sized galley with bar stools. The galley has been remodeled to have a modern look and practicality. There is a large stainless steel sink, recessed 2-burner propane stove, convection microwave oven, full-sized refrigerator and freezer, ample counter space and a large window so you won't miss any scenery while cooking. The carpet was replaced in 2006 and windows replaced in 1994. This trawler is well decorated throughout, and the new carpet and galley give the boat a modern look.

There is also a forced air Espar diesel heating system in addition to the Dickinson stove.

Broker's Comments

The seaworthy design and massive interior space set this trawler apart! It has been stored in a boathouse for the past twelve years so the gelcoat and brightwork are in very good condition. It is an exceptionally clean boat, inside and out. The living accommodations are well-suited for long cruises or living aboard. It is a stout, fuel efficient trawler with a home-like interior - come see for yourself.
