You may board this yacht from three approaches: while at your home port, the custom boarding steps with handrail and platform make it very easy to access the pilothouse to load personal belongings, equipment and stores. Or, while at guest moorage, use the custom stainless boarding ladder or step aboard the custom swim platform and enter the cockpit via a custom transom door.
When entering via the platform into the pilothouse, you choose to either move aft toward the galley and salon or forward to the office and crew or guest quarters.
Beginning my description of this yacht from the aft and moving forward: The extended custom swim step with staples (installed 2014) lends security while boarding and transiting to the expansive cockpit. The cockpit is large enough to host a large sit-down dinner for several guests while at anchor or for friends and family to store and launch kayaks or paddleboards. Climb a short ladder to a small aft deck (great place for a quiet cup of coffee or cocktail in the afternoon!); you may continue up the second ladder, which is covered to protect the deck from rain, to the upper deck to launch the 13.5’ Zodiac dinghy. There is a large sliding door from the small aft deck to enter the full beam salon.
The interior of this yacht is beautifully and comfortably appointed throughout every area. The large windows throughout provide an abundance of light and a sense of spaciousness in even the smaller cabins. The salon is furnished with a leather settee and couch, a large table that may expand to seat 8 comfortably. A custom bar and storage cabinet finished with a granite counter top includes a beverage refrigerator. The entertainment center has a 48” TV with KVH Satellite, DVD and stereo. Large windows surrounding all sides of the salon allow natural light to brighten the entire space. One can easily imagine enjoying an afternoon with a good book or having a crowd to watch a game.
The private master stateroom is accessed via a circular stairway aft with a privacy door. The stateroom layout: pedestal king bed, built in drawers, shelves for books, a small portable electric fireplace, and a large walk-in closet with stack washer/dryer unit. A jetted tub with shower and granite counter tops in the head compliment a feeling of understated comfort and elegance.
The galley is forward and separated from the salon by a door. To starboard is a large C-shaped settee and dinette. The galley includes a full sized refrigerator, electric stove and oven and microwave. Notable is the amount of counter space and storage. There are even clever spice racks hidden in a few cupboards – imagine the meals you or your chef might create!
Step through another private doorway to the pilothouse. The current owner, along with his son, has updated all the systems with redundancy to ensure complete confidence in the operation of the yacht. Three electrical panels manage the 12v., 24v., 32v., 110v., 220v. systems. Instrumentation with redundancy to computers monitor all engine room gauges and activity, navigation, radar and security systems.
There are sliding doors port and starboard for easy access to the foredeck to either deploy fenders or enjoy the foredeck settee.
Interior access to the flybridge is via a ladder from the pilothouse. The helm has 360 degree visibility, all electronics and navigation (which communicate with pilothouse), and side-by-side captains chairs. Entertaining or relaxing is enjoyed year round as it is completely enclosed, has two large settees and a coffee table with folding chairs, and wet bar. An extra freezer has been installed for your daily catch or extra food for your extended cruise.
Forward and down a few steps from the pilothouse is a private office area with desk and file drawers. Two staterooms with bunks and separate heads are just forward and to port of the office area. This may be a perfect for crew or a private area for friends and family. Moving aft down a couple of steps is the second washer/dryer located in the companionway. Just forward of the engine room is a fourth head with separate shower and a private fourth stateroom with side-by-side bunks.
The engine room has approximately 6’4” headroom and includes the twin Detroit 12V71TI engines, Naiad stabilizers, Northern Lights and Kohler 20kw generators, house vacuum system, hot water heater and redundant electrical panels and gauges for all systems.
This yacht is outfitted and ready for extended cruising anywhere you may wish to explore!
