Approaching the vessel, the high, wide bow is impressive with brightwork and decks which show the owner’s conscientious attention to maintenance. It is easy and safe to board the boat via side transom gates and to move about the boat with its walk-around covered decks. The Portuguese fly bridge provides a beautiful spot to enjoy the sun, additional storage and protection from choppy seas.
The cockpit area may be enjoyed year-round. It is completely enclosed using EZ2CY glass, double-slider and canvas construction. Two wicker chairs, a small teak table and storage box fit comfortably in this area. The BBQ has a custom mount on both the port and starboard transom allowing cooking on either side.
Large double French doors serve as the companionway to the salon. To starboard are two comfortable recliners, and a corner cabinet with custom leaded stained glass doors, perfect for wine and spirit storage. The recently upholstered L-shaped settee and teak hi-lo table with folding leaves are comfortable to entertain up to 6 people for a sit-down dinner.
Forward to port is the galley. Current owners’ remodel in 2013 included custom granite counters with a large, deep undercounter sink and GE microwave. The galley is complete with a Force 10 propane stove/oven and Sea Freeze fridge and freezer and loads of storage. A 4.5cubic foot Sea Freeze freezer is also in the engine room. A very large pantry and the full size stacking Splendide washer and dryer or starboard from the galley.
Large windows throughout the salon and galley area provide loads of light and have UV protectant roller shades with curtains to soften the frames. The boat is fully carpeted with teak parquet floors underneath. The carpet, tacked and glued with a marine high grade pad to protect the floors, provides comfort for bare feet and warmth. A Webasto diesel hydronic furnace provides warmth throughout the boat. High ceilings (6’3” – 7’1”) accommodate tall friends and family.
Three steps lead to the Pilothouse. Doors lead to both side decks. An L-shaped settee and table are just aft of the helm. There is storage below and behind the settee with a bookshelf. A new hydraulic pedestal Captains chair with adjusting seat, laminated chart areas, new gauges, autopilot and stabilizer controls, Garmin Navigation, a Windows 10 touchscreen Dell computer with Rose Point software, and two AIS VHF’s (receiver and transponder) complete the helm station.
Forward to starboard, stairs lead to the sleeping quarters and access to the engine room. This boat is considered a three stateroom layout.
Forward is the guest suite. The anchor locker (400’ chain) access is forward most. Twin bunks with drawers for storage below are to either side and a bookshelf to port make this a cozy spot for guests. The guest head is just aft to starboard complete with a Masterflush Dometic fresh water head, custom granite counter with undercounter sink. A custom shower curtain allows guests to comfortably shower without getting clothes or towels wet.
Across from the guest head is the “third stateroom”; essentially a bunk room. The current owner’s purchased the boat specifically to live aboard. They cleverly remodeled the bunk room into a large cedar lined hanging locker with shelves and storage for clothes. Ample room for a full-time liveaboard couple.
The full beam master suite has a queen pedestal bed lying athwartship (port to starboard) with lockers and storage to either side and at the head of the bed. A small corner cabinet, a large compartment and drawers under the bed provide ample storage space.
The master head has a freshwater Masterflush Dometic head, custom granite counter with undercounter sink and storage cabinets above and below the sink. The shower has custom tile detailing.
The engine room is accessed via a door in the master. It is notable that the owner takes pride in maintaining very clean engines and all tools and spares are well organized. Aft of the engine room is a door to access the large lazarette area which includes the water maker, Webasto heater, shelves for parts and tools, space for large fenders and room to spare!
The fully enclosed fly bridge is accessed via stairs from the Pilothouse. The U-line icemaker, propane locker and additional storage are under the L-settee. The enclosure is constructed with EZ2CY glass and canvas attached to the radar arch. Lights in the arch and underneath the settee provide both light to work or read by or gentle ambient light at night. The helm station has redundant navigation equipment, gauges, autopilot controls and VHF. Just aft of the enclosure, is a large upper deck space which is a beautiful area to enjoy lounge chairs and potential seating for approximately 12 people. The Roskelley-Olsson pole davit, installed 2018, is rated for 1000 pounds.
