This is a rare find in a traditional riverboat sternwheeler that is fully operational yet graciously furnished for luxury waterfront living.

Enter the main salon from a glass door on the forward deck. This area features wood flooring and expansive windows that look out to the water beyond. In this space a classic curved staircase leads to the upper deck accommodations.

Moving aft from the salon you will enter the dining room area which is open to the full main salon and galley. A rustic wood table seats six for meals in this space. Large windows provide a spectacular waterfront view.

The galley is next aft in the main cabin and is a fantastic design, open to the full living area. It features a red Verona 36" gas range with five burners and dual ovens, a Samsung french door refrigerator with cold pantry drawer and lower freezer door, a large single stainless steel sink and faucet, a full size dishwasher and a Samsung microwave in a cabinet above the ample granite top counter space. The galley includes a wine cooler and a trash compactor.

Behind the galley aft is the laundry space and bathroom. A Maytag stacking washer and dryer is set up here with ample storage in drawers and lockers. The bathroom is located within this area and features a creative stone sink basin and designer fixtures.

Using the central circular staircase you climb to the accommodations deck. A master cabin suite with a walk-around queen bed and ensuite bathroom is located to starboard. A door provides access to the aft viewing deck. To port is the guest cabin with a folding single bed that stores in a closet when not in use.

The staircase leads to the upper deck and the ship's pilothouse. This is set up with full controls for operation of the twin reversing paddlewheels and hydraulic rudder steering system. Basic electronics and navigation equipment is set up here. Doors lead out to the upper boat deck which is set up as a spacious patio area with deck furniture.

Below the main deck is the lower deck with engine and machinery. The single six cylinder Isuzu diesel drives a hydraulic control system to operate the dual paddlewheels. Because of the reversing functionality these provide twin-screw maneuverability for the boat underway, a remarkable feature in this kind of vessel.

All in all, this floating home can go places under it's own power, for a pleasure cruise or to relocate to your favorite port.

Broker's Comments

Presented here is a very unique, versatile combination of a historic Stern Wheeler and a fine Seattle waterfront three story condo. The power is via hydraulically-driven split paddle wheels. The hydraulic power is supplied by a six-cylinder diesel engine. The engine, generator and all mechanical equipment is located in a very spacious, full-headroom engine room. There are three outside decks for enjoyment of the marine views. One deck features a propane fire pit and a barbeque for entertaining guests. Modern appliances and all repainted and decorated interior means this vessel is in "move in ready" condition.
