Broker's Comments

From the outside, we have what appears to be effectively a small ship. Big and purposeful-looking, she looks exactly what she is – a go-anywhere heavy displacement motor yacht. Closer up and you’ll realise that here is a work in progress. All the heavy work has been done: the big six-cylinder Vetus main engine and the smaller auxiliary ‘wing’ engine have been installed in the walk-around engine room, as has the steering gear and associated fuel and control systems. Indeed, she has undergone sea trials, so we can be confident that the important bits work. However, you only have to look at the photographs to see that quite a bit remains to be done. Let’s be positive: the new owner will have enormous scope to put their personal touch on the layout, fixtures, fittings and finish. The current spartan state of the interior also allows one to see clearly the impressive nature of the steel construction. Be in no doubt: this little ship will be magnificent once completed, and the amount of work still outstanding is reflected in the realistic asking price.
